What is the definition of early literacy?

Early literacy is an activity performed by children in order to develop their language skills, including ability to read and write, done from an early age.


Then, understanding in context, that early literacy activities is the creation of culture in family, school and community with the provision of habituation and artifacts for the read-write. Early literacy activities is considered important, because most evidenced by the various research results, that the literacy activities undertaken since childhood will provide the ability for them as adults in terms of writing skills, reading and understanding.
