Early Literacy is not just read-write ability

I looked at that early literacy is not just the ability to read and write when an early age, but that culture is created along with the growth and development of children, especially in a family environment. When the children look for and find the pleasure and fun of reading material, then it is the spirit of literacy that has emerged. This spirit will appear if there is a culture built.

The low interest in reading, in recent years has become a serious concern in many nations. That book became a frightening stuff. Many children who have ability in reading and writing, but they are not familiar with the readings. Literacy artifacts do not become an important part in daily activities.

Is it because the culture that does not wake up? Or because they have regarded the book as something that is saturating? Or the ability to read and write that so far they have, not built on the basis of pleasure? Or is it by force. So here is the importance to re-parse what the meaning of early literacy.
